PARTIAL HOSPITALIZATION
PROGRAM (PHP) – Adults and Minors
Ark of Rehabilitation Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) is a non-24-hour diversionary treatment program that is community-based. The program provides diagnostic and clinical treatment services on a level of intensity similar to inpatient care while allowing individuals to continue living at home. Treatment focuses on stabilization, symptom reduction, and skill development through structured therapeutic support and recovery-oriented services.
PHP offers a highly structured level of care for individuals experiencing significant mental health or substance use challenges without requiring overnight hospitalization. The program serves as a transition between inpatient treatment and outpatient care while providing daily therapeutic support in a supervised setting.

How It Works:
PHP services are organized through structured treatment schedules and coordinated clinical care:
Daily therapeutic programming is typically provided five days per week for several hours each day
Individual therapy sessions focus on emotional, behavioral, and recovery-related goals
Group counseling supports peer interaction, coping skills, emotional regulation, and recovery education
Medication management and psychiatric evaluations are coordinated by licensed medical professionals when necessary
Psychoeducation sessions may include stress management, relapse prevention, mindfulness, and wellness strategies
Family therapy and recovery-oriented services may be incorporated into the treatment process
Behavioral support services and substance use disorder counseling are provided based on individual treatment needs
Treatment plans are completed within seven days of admission and reviewed regularly by licensed practitioners
Assessments, nursing evaluations, and medical reviews are conducted according to admission and care requirements
Case management services may include coordination with external providers, schools, and family members

Who We Serve
PHP services are available for adults, adolescents, and young adults who require more structured support than traditional outpatient care can provide. The program may support individuals stepping down from inpatient psychiatric care, transitioning from residential treatment, or managing symptoms related to depression, anxiety, trauma, mood disorders, behavioral health conditions, or co-occurring substance use disorders.
Partial hospitalization programs may function as an alternative to inpatient care, transitional support following hospitalization, or follow-up care after residential treatment. Services are intended for individuals who can safely participate in structured treatment without requiring 24-hour supervision.
What to Expect
Individuals participating in PHP can expect structured daily schedules that include therapy sessions, clinical support, psychiatric oversight, and recovery-focused services while continuing to live at home. Care plans are individualized based on medical necessity, treatment goals, behavioral health needs, and recovery progress. Ongoing coordination between treatment teams, families, and external providers helps support continuity of care throughout the program.
